Episode 12: Start

“Hurry up!” shouted Omar as he starts his black Mercedes “ that idiot keeps forgetting stuff everywhere “ mumbled Omar as he cecks his face on the side mirror. They would already be on the road if Luis didn’t forget his bag at the hospital cafeteria. The parking lot was empty considering it was only 8 in the evening much to the surprise of Omar. Bored and obviously irritated by Luis’s forgetful character, Omar scans the building in front of him. Omar never really liked old buildings, but somehow he felt quite at ease with the building in front of him. It has such an outstanding familiarity with home. “I guess it does look a bit like home” chuckles Luis. As e averts his line of sight, something at the second floor window caught his sight. On the other side of the glass wall at the second floor stood something that caught Omar’s attention. a young girl. Beuitiful, pale, with hair drooping to the floor, was staring at him. At first Omar ignored the little girl. He reaces for te sereo to play some tunes as he waits for Luis. But something about the little girl made Omar take another good look. As he takes another look he was surprised that the little girl was still staring at him. At that moment something has taken over Omar’s body. It like his eyes were suddenly glued to those green piercing eyes of hers. His body was stiff, he’s mouth was dry, sweat suddenly trickled of his face even though he was in an air conditioned car. Something about this girl was scaring the shit out of him. Even though confused, Omar manages to smile and wave awkwardly to the young stranger. The young girl smiles at him and is somehow writing something at the glass wall with some kind of paint. Confused, Omar steps out of the car to take a better look at the young girl’s message. He was mortified to see that the young girl wrote the word:

HI

She wrote it with blood.

Omar stepped backed, incoherent for a few moments, the letters H and I carved in to his mind in bright, beefy red. He was unconsciously stepping back with eyes still glued to the girl when he accidentally trips on something.

“hey!” shouted Chris as he tries to help up the baffled Omar.

“ sabog ka ba?! “ yelled the irritated Chris as he saw the condition Omar is in, he has quite a few experiences with incoherent stoners and addicts creating havoc at public places but he never thought someone would be doing drugs at a hospital parking lot. As if jolted back to reality Omar looks at the disgruntled police officer and tries to apologize.
“sorry po boss “ replied Omar as he cleans rubs the dirt of is pants. He races his face to look at the creepy site he saw earlier only to see a blank wall. The little girl was gone. Not even a smudge of blood was left at the glass.

“you look like you saw a ghost”

“ I may have as well saw one “ replied Omar as he turns his back and makes his way back to the car. With a sudden rush of vertigo Omar stumbles again, his body being brought back to the ground by gravity.

“oi!” shouted Chris as he dove to catch the now falling Omar. He was able to yank Omar back to a vertical position and started to assist him back to his car.

“ dude, whatever your taking, stop it. Big guys like you wont always find someone strong enough to haul you back” commented Chris as he helps Omar to te passenger seat. “ I sa someone “ whispered Omar, his eyes still fixed to the empty glass wall at the second floor.
“parem what exactly did you saw?” inquired Chris, as he impatiently looks at his watch. His bad luck day was about to end with this last assignment but it looks like fate wont be giving him rest any time soon. “a girl “ whispered Omar, eyes still fixed to the glass wall. “ a what?!” exclaimed Chris as the image of the young girl he rescued flashed to his mind. “What did she look like?” asked Chris. He finally grasped that this boy in front of him may have seen something after all. “Pale young girl, maybe nine or 10.”, recalled Omar as he shakes his head to bring back the morbid images. “she has long hair, umm,, her hands were bright red, as if soaked with,,.. blood.” Mumbled Omar, his eyes suddenly redirected to the infuriated Police officer. Chris, sensing the danger, immediately draws is weapon and makes a bee line towards the hospital entrance. “stay in the car!! “ shouted Chris to Omar as he makes his way to the lobby.
